SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

The Serengeti National Park offers excellent game-viewing all year round, but a safari during the Great Migration is undoubtedly an unforgettable experience.   Millions of wildebeest and zebra make their way through the savannah plains, before their perilous crossing of the Mara River in search of new grazing grounds in Kenya’s Maasai Mara.

As it’s difficult to predict exactly when these herds migrate, best sightings are during their calving season which falls between December and March, when they are based in the southern Serengeti. From July to October they can be found in the northern Serengeti as they make their way into Kenya’s Maasai Mara.

The vast golden plains are rich in antelope, gazelle, lion and giraffe, and are perfect hunting grounds for cheetah.

Be awed by a 360° view of the breath-takingingly beautiful Serengeti from a once-in-a-lifetime hot-air balloon flight. Other activities include photographic safaris, walking safaris, game drives and visits to historical and cultural sites.
